LITURGICAL COLOR: WHITE
The paraments – the cloths on the cross and pulpit – are white in celebration of our Covenant Renewal Sunday and the Baptism of Our Lord. Today we remember that Jesus presented himself to be baptized, not because he needed to have sins washed away, but to show us a first step in establishing our relationship with God through a public display of faith and repenting from sin.
COVENANT CELEBRATION THIS SUNDAY
